I apprenticed under Master Gunsmith Steve Zihn for two years. Following that apprenticeship I worked as a part time gunsmith for more than a few years, honing and improving my skills along the way.
In 2005 I relocated my shop in Wyoming to my Family Ranch in Kansas, Two years ago I opened the shop here to Full Time Muzzleloader work. My oldest Son started his apprenticeship under me about a year ago, and his skills are rapidly improving.
Then in the summer of 2008 I took on another apprentice, who has a long and fine history of leather craft and was also a professional saddle maker. He has been eagerly working on his first rifle for the past several months.
I'm usually in my shop from 7 in the morning until after 8 at night, Monday through Saturday, and I'm always available to my customers to take phone calls. If it's busy just keep trying, we have a large volume of phone contact, eventually you will get through, and we would be happy to talk to you and answer any questions we can.
